Balanced living essentially means optimally sustaining all aspects of your life. Areas could inlcude, relationships, work, fitness, health, and emotional happiness.

Sometimes in life we can get distracted and foucssed on one thing maybe thats work or fitness and in different periods of our lives being obsessed over one thing may be the best option to achieving your goals. However, without trying to support all areas of your life it could be detremental to our future selves. For example, entrepenuers may neglect there health and relationships when trying to grow a business which might later cause them grief down the line. Ultimately, trying to keep a balance in all areas will allow you to living a more desirabale lifestyle.

When eating with the intention of a balanced lifestyle you are aiming to eat a wide variety of foods in the right proportions, and consuming the right amount of food to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.

In order to ensure portion control when eating, nutritionists use the perfect plate model to recommend portion sizes which aims for the right proportions of each food group in every meal. This model fllows 1/2 plate non-startchy colourful vegetables e.g. lettuce, carrot, tomatoes, 1/4 plate carbohydrates e.g.potatoes, rice, kumara, and 1/4 plate protein e.g. meat, fish, chicken.

As adults, we tend to have more responsibilities and get caught up in our busy lives often forgetting about our health. Creating a routine and building fitness habits can enable you to keeping your life in check. In order to keep active, one option is to join a group or sports team that . In todays world, social media has caused people wanting everything to come instantly. It is important to not try to compare yourself to others as everyone has had different upbringings. I personally can be victim to being impatient and wanting all my goals to my achieved now. As corny as it sounds, living in the present and enjoying your passage through time is simply what life is about.
